Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, wine, food and writing. Hope you have a nice stay!
Journalism has always been a passion of mine. From childhood I've been interested in hearing other people's stories and finding a relatable way of telling them.
At Sonoma State University, I honed my skills in the pursuit of a Communications degree, spending three years on the student newspaper, the Sonoma State STAR. In my final year, I was honored to serve as its editor in chief.
After a year spent working as a reporter for an insurance trade newsletter I found an assistant editor position at Wine Business Monthly. In addition to editing articles for the publication, I write business, technology and sales and marketing articles for WBM and winebusiness.com. Today, I serve as a senior editor for the publications and help develop content for its eight conferences.
In addition, I've served as a judge in Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (2016 & 2017) and Catad'Or Wine Awards (Chile, 2017), been awarded a fellowship to the Wine Writer's Symposium (2014 & 2017) and completed the UC Davis Wine Executive Program.
As an editor for the wine industry's leading B2B publication, I get to visit spectacular places and meet incredible people, so I started this blog to build upon the stories I encounter.
I'd like to thank WBM for allowing me to republish some of the articles I've written for them this page, and for fostering a love of wine.
Outside of wine, I love nothing more than curling up with a good book, finding a new hiking path, running into random people and making new friends, managing a co-ed softball team and always saying 'yes' to new experiences.
I hope this blog inspires you to explore new places. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on social media!
